Paolo's Restaurant holds 'Norwich Tweetup'
Paolo’s Restaurant held a ‘norwichtweetup’ last Wednesday which was well attended by local businesses. More details about the informal local networking event can be found here - http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=127122930707002
Paolo Duraj commented "We are relatively new to twitter and like others are interested in learning more about social media. That's why we recently attended our first 'tweetup' at Vanilla, the independent ladies clothes shop in Norwich, and had an enjoyable evening meeting new people and learning about twitter and social media. Subsequently we hosted the next tweet up and this took place on Wednesday 20th July in our restaurant, Paolo’s Restaurant, 6pm to 8pm. It was open to all and twitter enthusiast and Marketing & PR expert Lynsey Sweales was on hand to answer questions. It was a lovely evening and a great chance to meet local people in a relaxed environment and pick up some social media tips at the same time!"
Norwich Lanes Summer Fayre – 10th July 2011
The popular Norwich Lanes Summer Fayre which drew huge crowds last year will return on 10th July. Volunteers, musicians, dance groups and stallholders are needed, so if you are interested in getting involved contact Lauren at The Birdcage at lauren@lullabyinc.com. The Fayre really demonstrates the spirit of the Norwich Lanes and gets great press coverage.

The Wedding Party Marks the Occassion of the Royal Wedding
The Wedding Party marked the occasion of the Royal Wedding by holding a charity balloon wedding wish celebration. Customers pledged at least £1 for balloon and wrote and attached a wish, which were released at 2pm of the day of the wedding. All the donations will be given to Prince William and Kate Middleton's Royal Wedding Charity Fund.
Kate and William are donating their entire wedding gift donation to 26 charities including Centrepoint, National Aids Trust, Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Fund and Cruse
Bereavement Care.
Sarah Christodoulides of The Wedding Party said, “It was lovely to see so many people who came out and supported us, we had the wedding playing in the background. It is nice to be able to mark the occasion with something that is meaningful and for a great cause, and we would like to thank everyone involved for their support.”

Norwich Lanes Celebrates its 5th Birthday
2011 marks a milestone for Norwich Lanes as it celebrates its 5th birthday. And what better way to celebrate than during Norwich’s first ever Fashion Week (17th – 24th February 2011).
As part of its birthday celebrations and Norwich Fashion Week, a special ‘Norwich Lanes Day’ is being held on Saturday 19th February where customers of this iconic and historical area of Norwich will be able to participate and savour some great events and offers. Best Small Shops in Britain Awards
The Book Hive scooped the Best Bookshop award at the Telegraph's Best Small Shops in Britain Awards held last week at Millbank Tower, London. This award lifts the profile of both the shop and Norwich onto the National platform, again. Over the last year The Book Hive has featured in four national BBC broadcasts and was recently the lead feature in an article about the city in The New York Times. The Telegraph stated that The Book Hive 'should be commended for restoring to reading the elements of excitement and surprise.' Another Norwich Lanes member Philip Browne was also nominated in the Best for Men's Fashion category - a great night for the Norwich Lanes! |
