Here at Paolo’s Restaurant we offer freshly prepared traditional Italian food, from stone oven baked pizzas to pasta and seafood. All pizzas are prepared by hand that morning so they arrive fresh to your table. We are not just about pizza - although they have been described as "by far the best pizza in town" - on the menu you will also find foods such as pasta, fish , meat, seafood and salad dishes, including gluten free meals and children’s food.
Throughout his career, owner Paolo has developed his knowledge of Italian cuisine and is a great believer in doing things in the traditional way to capture true Italian authentic flavours. This is why he orders most of his supplies such as flour, olive oil, pasta, coffee and wine from Italian suppliers Alivini who deliver goods from Italy to the UK.
The restaurant has a wide appeal with families, students, couples, tourists and groups dining with us. The fact that Italian people from all over the region visit our restaurant to sample the food, stamping their seal of approval, is also testament to the menu and atmosphere.
We are based in the heart of Norwich, housed in a fantastic old art deco building and as we are located in the Norwich Lanes area, we are amidst a vibrant shopping area and delightful boutiques.
The Forum and market are just a short stroll away making Paolo’s Restaurant a convenient place to stop off, stretch ones legs and watch the world go by whilst having a well deserved glass of wine or cup of coffee and a bite to eat for lunch or dinner.
We are a family business run with professional and friendly staff. Paolo himself is always happy to chat about how the dishes are prepared.
Fully licensed late bar now open Friday and Saturday 11pm until 2am. Come and enjoy a relaxed late night drink with friends!
