Norwich Lanes Summer Fayre.

The Norwich Lanes Summer Fayre returns on Sunday 9th July and looks to be bigger and bolder than ever before. What started off in 2008 as something resembling a village fete, the Norwich Lanes Summer Fayre quickly established itself as one of the highlights of the city’s event calendar, regularly attracting crowds of 15,000 or more.

This year’s fayre includes the much-loved St.Benedict’s Street Market which is packed full or art, crafts and delicious street food. The main stage on St.Gregory’s Green hosts live music and DJ’s and for the first time is fully licensed with drinks and champagne popsicles available from the Birdcage bar.

Pottergate will be home to a vintage and antiques market while just down the hill there’s art workshops for all the Bedford Street Party. On Upper St Gile you’ll find a more traditional table-lined street party too.

There are also three new stages at this year’s fayre. The Garage take over the city end of St. Benedicts, the Access to Music stage is at St John Maddermarket and there’s an acoustic/ambient stage in Bridewell Alley too. Guides to all activities will be available on the day.

The fayre as a whole has once again been sponsored by Norwich BID with local businesses, Epos Now, Abode, FXHome, Steeles Law, MKM Building Supplies sponsoring the stages and performances areas too. This year’s chosen charity is Keeping Abreast, whose volunteers will be stewards on the day. We ask visitors to give generously to this great locally-led but national cause.

We would love to see your photographs on the day so please share using the hashtag #NLSF17
